Jera is a Nashville native, proud cat mom, and hair artist of 3 years specializing in vivid color, alternative cuts, and curly hair magic. Their work is fueled by Harajuku street style, the glam and goth of the 1980s, and an endless love for art in all its forms. From Duran Duran and The Mars Volta to K-Pop, anime, Goya, and Klimt, Jera pulls inspiration from every corner of culture and transforms it into hair alchemy.

They love conversations that go deep, whether it is about film, philosophy, theology, or color theory. And fair warning: if The Vampire Chronicles, Lord of the Rings, or Dune come up, clear your schedule.

As a fierce human rights activist and proud member of the LGBTQIA+ and disabled community, Jera’s chair is a sanctuary where curiosity is welcome and individuality is celebrated. For those ready to embrace their most authentic, unapologetic selves, Jera is always on the hunt for new vivid muses and kindred spirits.

Hot take: “My hot take is actually a FACT: Star wars sucks and is just a Dune rip off. Dune is superior.”
