Kelly spent the first decade of his working life in the water. From 15 to 25, he did it all in aquatics: lifeguarding, coaching, and eventually managing large-scale, multi-site teams. Somewhere between the chlorine and the chaos, he figured out that his real talent wasn't the work itself. It was the people doing it. That instinct carried him into music software, where he spent five years as Head of Customer Support and Industry Relations, building systems for teams across the globe around one simple rule: design for what people actually need, not what looks good on a whiteboard.
Outside of operations, Kelly is a musician who plays guitar, sings, and in his own words "dances on stage like a monkey." He has played hundreds of live shows across genres and instruments, with his heart firmly planted in punk rock. NOFX, Foo Fighters, Blink-182, Green Day, he is your guy. He is also passionate about design in UI and UX, obsessed with finding the path of least resistance for whoever is on the other end of an experience, and a devoted follower of emerging tech, especially virtual reality. His defining move is taking something impossibly tangled and handing it back to you as something obvious, usually through an analogy you will be quoting for weeks.
At Studio Strange, Kelly exists to make sure the people who make this place extraordinary have everything they need to do it without friction, without noise, and without anyone feeling like an afterthought.
